Alfie is a lovely boy who has found himself in our care through no fault of his own. He had only been with them for a short time, and we’re now focused on finding Alfie the stable, loving home he deserves.

Alfie is a well-mannered boy who is fully house trained and can be left alone without distress, settling well, making him an easy companion to live with.

He walks nicely on the lead and enjoys getting out and about, although recall isn’t his strong point at the moment, which may be linked to current ear discomfort. Alfie is currently being treated for a haematoma in one ear (which you can see in the pictures) and appears to have had a previous one in the other. We will subsidise any further treatment needed for his ears, and he has been very patient throughout his care.

Alfie has lived with children before, but as he can be sensitive if touched around his ears, we would recommend a home with older, sensible children who can respect his boundaries. He is quite vocal around other dogs when out walking, which appears to be more frustration than aggression, but he would be best suited as an only pet. He cannot live with cats and shows a strong interest in birds and wildlife.

Alfie is believed to have a chicken allergy, so any future home would benefit from feeding a good-quality hypoallergenic diet.

With the right home, Alfie will make a loyal, affectionate companion who enjoys a comfortable life, gentle walks and plenty of love. If you think you could offer Alfie the calm, understanding home he’s looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
