He came to us through no fault of his own.
Despite an unsettled start, Bruce has shown us what a sweet and loving boy he is. He’s lived happily with children, so we would consider a home with older (12+) dog savvy children.
He has also lived with an incredible seven cats, and we’ve been told he’s good with other dogs. In kennels he appears comfortable around them, and he particularly relaxes around friendly female handlers.
Bruce can be a little wary of men, especially when meeting someone new, but he’s already beginning to gain confidence with gentle encouragement. Once he trusts you, his affectionate side shines through.
On the lead, Bruce walks nicely, though he can be a little unsure and likes to check over his shoulder. Out on the field, he really came out of his shell – he was relaxed, playful, and enjoyed stretching his legs on a long line. His previous owners have confirmed that he has good recall, and he absolutely loves chasing toys and proudly bringing them back.
As we have limited background information, Bruce is still under assessment, but so far he’s shown himself to be a bright, loving young dog with lots of potential.
Bruce would suit a home that can offer:
- Patience and understanding while he builds confidence
- A calm, reassuring environment
- Continued positive socialisation
- Plenty of playtime – he loves his toys!
If you have room in your life for a sensitive, playful youngster who just wants to feel safe and loved, Bruce could be the perfect match.
