British BulldogLovely Hilda is looking for a new home because her owner has become unwell.
Through absolutely no fault of her own, Hilda now needs a new family to offer her the love, security and companionship she deserves.
We unfortunately don’t have a huge amount of history about Hilda, but everything we do know tells us she’s a nice, friendly girl.
Hilda has never bitten and isn’t known to be possessive over food, toys or other belongings. She’s housetrained and generally walks nicely on the lead, although she can pull at times.
She’s also good travelling in the car – although prospective owners should be prepared for a rather impressive amount of Bulldog drool along the way!
Hilda has previously lived with another dog and is reported to be good around dogs, so we would potentially consider a home with a friendly, compatible dog following successful introductions.
We don’t know whether Hilda has previously lived with cats or other animals, so this would need to be considered carefully.
Hilda has never lived with children and, because we have limited information about her history, we’d prefer an adult home where she can be given the time and space she needs to settle.
We also don’t know how Hilda copes with being left alone or how long she’s accustomed to being left. Ideally, her new owners will be around for much of the time initially and gradually establish what she’s comfortable with as she settles into her new home.
Hilda’s world has changed because of circumstances completely beyond her control. What she needs now is someone willing to give this friendly Bulldog girl a chance to start again.
There’s still plenty for us to learn about Hilda, but sometimes that’s part of the joy of adopting – getting to know your new companion and watching their personality emerge as they begin to feel safe and settled.
If you’ve got room in your home for a friendly four-year-old Bulldog – and don’t mind a little drool – Hilda could be waiting for you. Please apply today.
