Sally came into our care through no fault of her own, after her owner was sadly taken seriously ill.

When Sally first arrived, she was extremely nervous and frightened, but with time, patience, and kindness, Sally has made wonderful progress and has truly begun to come out of her shell.

She can now be walked and exercised on the field and generally walks well on the lead – although she does like to zig-zag rather than walk in a straight line! Sally is still building her confidence, so she will need calm, quiet walking routes, as traffic and busy environments can still spook her. Her recall on the field is good, and she absolutely loves running free.

Sally is very friendly with people she knows and trusts, though she can still be a little shy at first. She has recently started to engage with toys and enjoys playing and exploring, which has been lovely to see. In the kennels she can be a bit barky with other dogs, but this appears to be kennel-related and she would likely do well with other dogs given sensible introductions.

Due to the limited information we received, we can’t be certain whether Sally is fully housetrained, so her new family should be prepared to offer gentle guidance and consistency. Because she can be quite bouncy when excited, we feel she would be best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy children only.

Sally is a young dog who has already shown how much she can grow with the right support. She’s now ready for a patient, understanding home that can help her continue building confidence and enjoying life to the full.
