WAW helps support 200+ rabbits rescued from a life worse than hell

, ,

This summer, following a successful campaign to shut down the horrific T & S Rabbit fur and meat farm in Nottinghamshire, who brutally forced repeated mating, threw rabbits around like rubbish and inhumanely slaughtered them for their fur and meat after fattening them up in cruel conditions, 200+ lucky rabbits found their freedom.

Along with other rescues from across the country, WAW transported 17 rabbits back to Warrington – thanks to Freshfields Animal Rescue, SNORS and Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue for taking some of the rabbits.

WAW kept four rabbits, a bonded pair of females called Raven and Pearl, as well as two special rabbits, Iris and Bluebell, both with medical conditions, including abscesses on the nose, eye and infected ears.

These rabbits, who have never been touched with kindness, will now have a chance to look forward to a brighter future.

Bluebell who sadly had to have her eye removed and months of recovery, finally found her happy ending and forever home and was adopted, now living with her new husbun, Carter - and as you can see, she looks very happy and settled.

You can find rabbits looking for their forever homes here.
